How do I choose the right wall light for my space?

Consider the purpose, style, and size of your room. For example:

• Ambient lighting: Use up/down wall lights for soft illumination.
• Task lighting: Opt for adjustable swing arm or reading wall lights.
• Accent lighting: Highlight artwork or architectural features with directional wall lights.

Can wall lights be used outdoors?

Yes! We have weather-resistant outdoor wall lights designed for porches, patios, and garden walls. Always check the IP rating to ensure suitability for your outdoor environment.

How do I maintain and clean wall lights?

• Turn off the power before cleaning.
• Use a soft cloth or duster to remove dust.
• For glass or metal finishes, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
• Avoid harsh chemicals to prevent damage to finishes and LEDs.

Are the lights dimmable?

The majority of our lights are dimmable, but you should check under Technical Information on the light's product page to be sure. If you are using LED bulbs, you should make sure your dimmer is LED compatible.

How do I install my lights?

We strongly recommend asking a qualified electrician to install your lights. All light fittings must be installed in accordance with current, applicable building regulations - your electrician will ensure these conditions are met.

What is the appropriate height for installing a wall light?

• General or ambient lighting: Mount the light 60–72 inches (5–6 feet) from the floor. This allows the light to evenly illuminate the room without causing glare.
• Task lighting (e.g., reading lights by a bed or desk): Place the light about 42–48 inches from the floor, or at eye level when seated, so it provides focused illumination without shadows.
• Accent lighting (e.g., highlighting artwork or architectural features): Position the light slightly above the object, usually 66–72 inches from the floor, to cast the best light on the feature.

Tip: Always consider the size of the fixture and the room. A larger room or taller ceilings may require slightly higher placement, while smaller spaces or lower ceilings may need lower mounting for balance and proportion.
